Frequently asked questions about the EAB training
What do I gain from the EAB training course?
Upon completion, you are officially certified as a European Adhesive Bonder. You can demonstrate that your adhesive work complies with international standards such as EN ISO 21368 and DIN 6701. This builds trust with both your employer and clients. Moreover, it increases your value on the work floor: you are allowed to work independently, are often given more responsibility, and in some companies or for certain clients, certification is even a strict requirement to perform bonding tasks. The course can also support your professional growth or serve as a stepping stone towards supervisory roles.
Do I need prior knowledge to get started?
No, the training starts with the basics. However, a secondary vocational (MBO) background and experience in technical work is helpful to follow theory and practice well.
Why is it important to be certified as an adhesive specialist?
Because adhesive bonding is a special process in which bond quality must be ensured during execution. Certification demonstrates that you work in accordance with international standards such as EN ISO 21368 and DIN 6701, which are critical for safety, durability, and error reduction. The training at Lijmacademie is recognized by Fraunhofer IFAM and meets the highest European standards, ensuring you earn a diploma that is respected throughout the industry.
